We are a small but growing club of about 60 members, one third of which are juniors. Both GNAS and NFAS types of shooting are supported, many members attending target competitions during the summer and field competitions during the winter.

We meet on Friday 19:00-21:30 October-March, and Wednesday and Friday 18:00- dusk April-September. Sunday mornings are all year round. Winter evenings indoors at Weymouth College, summer outdoors and all Sundays are at Portland.

Some of our junior members have had a very good couple of years collecting a large number of medals and trophies at the competitions we have attended, the 2000 Dorset and Wilts county weekend in Devizes being a particularly good result for the club members attending, most coming back with at least a medal and one of our juniors, Ryan Clark, with two national records in both 2000 and 2001.

For the last few years we have sent up to four members to compete for Dorset and Wilts at the intercounty championships in September, Christine Hodder completed 25 years of being selected for the team in 2004 a magnificent achievement.

We believe in keeping our practice sessions informal and try to put on occasional fun events to keep everyone interested. During 2007 we are holding two field shoots to NFAS rules one in April and one in September. The club also holds its own target and field championships in July
